What we collect
When you request a catering quote or submit any form on this site, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number
- Company or organization name
- Event details: date, headcount, format, dietary needs, delivery address
- Any notes you choose to share
- The page where you submitted the form and, when available, first- and last-touch campaign details such as referral page, UTM parameters, and Google Ads click identifiers
- Analytics client and session identifiers when analytics storage is available
What we use it for
- Responding to your catering inquiry
- Preparing and sending you an itemized quote
- Coordinating delivery and event-day logistics
- Issuing invoices and receipts
- Following up on outstanding quotes or pending orders
What we don't do
- We do not sell your information to anyone
- We do not share your information outside Shawarma Moose, except where required by law (e.g., tax filings) or with your explicit consent (e.g., venue contacts)
- We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in
Service providers we use
We use third-party services to operate the site and process orders. These providers see only what's necessary to perform their function:
- Vercel — hosts this website
- Resend — sends quote-request emails to our inbox
- EazePro — issues invoices, provides secure payment links, and tracks payments
- Google Workspace — handles email correspondence
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads — measure site use and advertising performance according to your cookie choice
How long we keep it
Customer records are retained for the duration of our business relationship plus as required by Canadian tax and business law (typically 7 years for tax-relevant records). Quote inquiries that don't result in an order are retained for up to 2 years for follow-up purposes.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent and ask us to delete your records (subject to legal retention)
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
Cookies
Necessary browser storage supports core site functions and remembers your cookie choice. With your permission, analytics storage helps us understand site performance and advertising storage helps us attribute catering inquiries to campaigns. Google Consent Mode communicates your choice for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button.
When advertising consent is granted and a quote request is accepted, the email address or phone number you entered may be sent to Google for enhanced conversion measurement. Google normalizes and hashes eligible information before matching it to signed-in accounts. These details are used for measurement, not added to the conversion event when advertising consent is denied.
